The AlephBet Enigma of the Word "Mystery"
In The New Covenant
This study was first done by Gary Stearman and J.R. Church of "Prophecy In The
News." Quite candidly, I did not believe the results of their finding at first. However, after doing my own
research, I fully agree with them as to their findings in the New Covenant. This is my own research, but it lines
up with what Gary Stearman and J.R. Church espouse and advocate as seen in the Bible. [More
comments at the end of this article.]
"Our Father, we ask for sight that we might see You and Your Son, Yeshua Messiah in all things. Give to us
divine eyes to see the fullness of Your wonderful WORD, Amen."
The New Covenant, and the word "Mystery"
In the New Covenant the word "Mystery" is used 22 times equaling the total number of the letters in the Hebrew AlephBet. Moreover if you will look, you can see how each one paints a wonderful word picture for us to see. To do this sometimes we must use the surrounding Scriptures to see the full picture. Also in today's modern Hebrew language, there is the uses of 5 final letters called ‘Sofet Letters.’ And in the New Covenant Scriptures, the word "Mysteries" can be seen only 5 times, I believe they are equal to these 5 Sofet Letters in modern Hebrew.
In order to fully understand this teaching, one must know a little about the Hebrew AlephBet, so may I recommend two books on this subject: 1. The Wisdom In The Hebrew AlephBet. by Rabbi Michael L. Munk - published by: ArtScroll Mesorah Series. 2.The Alef-Beit Jewish Thought as Revealed Through the Hebrew Letters, By: Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh. These books are a great place to start to understand the Hebrew AlephBet. These books will help you understand the depth of the Hebrew AlephBet, and the ancient Hebrew mind. There are many good books on this subject, but these are the best I've read so far. It is important to understand the AlephBet to understand fully this article. However, this article is not hard to understand with just the basis understanding of the subject matter.] Let us begin...
The AlephBet Enigma
The Aleph will sets the precedent for what
the Mystery of the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven is.
We will see that many of our L-rd's teachings on the "Kingdom" are descriptions, really pictures of "Evil
mixed with Good." It teaches us that, the mystery of iniquity must work its work,
until the time of the Redemption of all things is manifested to all
the world. The Aleph speaks of Divine
Completion, G-d's Oneness, Kingdom of G-d, and His Mastery!
Which just happen to be almost the same spelling as Mystery. If you took out the ‘a’ in Mastery
which would lets say = Aleph, and set it aside. Then placed the ‘y’
in the word you would have the word Mystery. Now the 'y' sound,
in the Hebrew AlephBet is a Yod. If you put a Aleph and Yod together, you spell the Hebrew word for: "where
- desirous island or country." Is not that what G-d's Kingdom
is? The Aleph Yod is a picture of the Heaven and the Earth,
and that is just what Yeshua is speaking of in Mark 4:11.
(Mark 4:11) And Yeshua said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the Kingdom
of G-d: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables (stories, pictures or allegory's):
This first word mystery fits in very nicely to the Enigma of the AlephBet.
The Bet speaks of the Temple
of G-d, Duality, Plurality, and also the Creation, Genesis
1:1. Here in Romans 11:25 we see Paul speaking to the gentiles of Rome, telling them of the
mystery of the partial blindness that's in Israel. However they are not to be egotistical
or conceited which they were becoming. This shows us that duality was working within the
Body of Messiah in his day. Believers are the Living
Temple of G-d, the teaching of duality is still presence even
today in the church, I'm sad to say. Our second Scripture fits very nicely once again into this pattern.
(Rom 11:25-26) For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant
of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles come
in. And so all Israel shall be Saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,
and He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob (the flesh):
The Gimel is a symbol of Culmination
and Kindness, it also meaning to Lift-up.
Here we see that in Romans 16:25-26 the fullness of G-d's Kindness was the pinnacle from the very beginning
of the world. This Divine manifestation was kept concealed until it was revealed to Rabbi
Saul to share with the Body of Messiah. Also it is "G-d" who establishes the
Believer as righteous, and lift's us up to the Kingdom of G-d, so we are seated in the Heavenly
places with Him. We can see this in our next Scripture.
(Rom 16:25-26) Now to Him that is of Power to establish you according to my gospel, and
the preaching of Yeshua Messiah, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret
since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the Scriptures of the Prophets,
according to the Commandment of the Everlasting G-d, made known to all Nations for the obedience of Faith:
The Dalet has the meanings of, Dimensions
(as seen in the metaphysical), Concern, and Door. What we see here in I Cor 2:7-10 is
indeed metaphysical in nature. Who can explain the Wisdom of G-d, not the natural mine.
The Wisdom of G-d is outside for the human fallen mind, it is a mystery which needs unlocking. How does one unlock
this close door, the answer is by listen for the L-rd knocking. Rev 3:20-21 tells us: "Behold, I stand at
the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with Me. To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My Throne, even as I also overcame, and set
down with My Father in His Throne." When we come through the Door, we come into the dimension
of His Kingdom. We are given the mind of Messiah who is made Wisdom
to us, and so we see into the dimensions of the hidden, which
before were beyond our sight. This is just what our next Scripture tells us.
(1 Cor 2:7-10) But we speak the Wisdom of G-d in a mystery, even the hidden Wisdom, which
G-d ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known
it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into the heart of man, the things which G-d hath prepared for them that love him. But G-d
hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of G-d.
The Divine Hey stands for the
Breath of G-d; which is the Spirit of G-d, and is part of the Divine
Name of our L-RD. The Hey is also the Hebrew word "Behold" - need I say
more about our next verse, I think not, this one, the fifth mystery is very plain to see!
(1 Cor 15:51) Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all
sleep, but we shall all be changed,
The Vav is the symbol of
Redemption, Completion, and Transformation. It is also the symbol of Man
and of Messiah. Once again starting in verse 7 of Ephesians
and running down through verse 10 we will see the Vav standing out to show us the mystery of
His Will. That will is this: "That Man would receive through the work of the Messiah, redemption.
The Vav is a prefix of conjunction, it unites even opposing concepts. It is one of the
links connecting the Heaven to the earth. It is in ancient Hebrew a picture of a hook, a nail or a peg. If you
spell the Hebrew word Hook, it is Vav Vav. The Vav implies a
drawing together and that is just what Messiah Yeshua did by being nailed to the Cross. He said, "I delight
to do Thy Will O L-RD" Psalm 40:7-8. Redemption is the Will of G-d for all of Mankind,
this one is as plain as the nose on your face.
(Eph 1:7-10) In whom we have Redemption through Messiahs blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His Grace; Wherein He has poured toward us in all Wisdom and forethought. Having
made known unto us the mystery of His Will, according to His good pleasure which He has
purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might assemble together in One, all things in Messiah, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him:
The Zayin is the letter which reveals
Spirit, Sustenance, and Struggle. It is the focal point of human existence. We are prisoners struggling with all the pressures of this world, and trying to free ourselves from
this pressure. The Zayin encompasses not just some of the pressures, but all the pressures of mankind. It also
reveals to us the 7th day Sabbath of the our L-RD, and shows us how as prisoners, to get relief on a weekly cycle.
We also see that when the Zayin it is linked with the next Hebrew letter, Chet, it show us that "Yah"
is in the midst. It is only by the Spirit that we know any of the
will of God. Let's look at our Scripture to see if the pattern holds.
(Eph 3:1-5) For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Yeshua Messiah for you Gentiles, If
you have heard of the dispensation of the Grace of G-d which is given me to you-ward:
How that by revelation He made known to me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Whereby, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Messiah) Which
in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His
Holy Apostles and Prophets by the Spirit;
This one fits like a glove!
Now the Chet is the symbol of Transcendence
- that which is higher, Divine Grace, and Life. It is the Hebrew number 8, and is seen as that which is
higher then the 7th day or the earthly Sabbath. Because G-d is metaphysically Divine,
the Chet stands for that which is on a surpassing plane, the Olam HaBa - the World to Come. Shemini
Atzeres is a Sabbath which is higher then the 7th day Sabbath which was given to man who is a prisoner
of this age, and of this earth. The Chet verse reveals to us
the mystery of Messiah, and His transcendence mystical plan by the
Holy Spirit.
(Eph 3:4-6) As I briefly mentioned earlier in this letter, G-d Himself revealed His mystery plan
to me. As you read what I have written, you will understand what I know about this plan
regarding Messiah. G-d did not reveal it to previous generations, but now He has revealed it by
the Holy Spirit to His Holy Apostles and Prophets. And this is the mystical plan:
"The Gentiles have an equal share with the Jews in all the riches inherited by G-d's
children. Both groups have Believed the Gospel, and both are part of the same Body and enjoy together the Promise
of blessings through Messiah Yeshua."
Wow, this is so clearly seen in the Chet Scripture, I pray you can see it!
The Tet is the symbol of the Twisted
Serpent, and of Objective Good. It
means: to Surround, and it also stand for Repentance. G-d
is the Essence of all good (Jere 33:11), and all that He created is good (Gen. 1:31), so whatever His Gracious
will causes to happen is for good (Psalm 118:1). We may not understand this because it is a mystery
which is hard for anyone to put in words. However, we are told this in Romans 8:28: "And we should
know that all things work together for good to them that love G-d, to them who are ‘the called’ according to His
purpose." The devil, the twisted snake is used by G-d for our objective
good, and this makes us partakers or "follow participants" in this mystery.
If we become willing participants, it becomes easier to see the multifaceted variegated Wisdom of G-d.
(Eph 3:9-10) And to make all men see what is the fellowship
participation, of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world has been hid in G-d, who created all things by Yeshua Messiah: To the intent that now it is shown to
the principalities and powers in heavenly, so it might be known by the called
out ones, the multifaceted variegated Wisdom of G-d
What a picture the Tet paints for us to see in these Scriptures.
Now the Hebrew letter Yod is the symbol
of Creation, and Mythical (Legendary). It
also speaks of the Hand of God, i.e. the Power of G-d. In our Scripture below you will
see the mythical, and legendary mystery of Creation, that is, "Messiah
and His Bride - Congregation, i.e. Church." Who fully understand this one, not I! As I see Rabbi Saul
trying to paint a picture for us, via the his understanding of marriage, we see a small glimpse of this mystery.
This Scripture fits the verse perfectly also.
(Eph 5:27-32) That He might present it to Himself a glorious Congregation, not having
spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be consecrated and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever
yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the L-rd the Church: For we are members of Messiah's
Body, of Messiah's flesh, and of Messiah's bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall
be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a mythical mystery: but I speak
this concerning Messiah and the called out ones.
The Kaf stand for Crowning,
and Accomplishment. The Kaf means: to cover, to allow. The picture language of this ancient letter
is an "arm with open hand." I think this one is also very clear. Prayer
is a covering, that is the full meaning of the word "making supplication."
It is the essence of what our L-rd told His followers: "And I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom
of Heaven: and whatsoever you shall not permit on earth is not permitted in Heaven: and whatsoever you shall
permit on earth shall be permitted in Heaven." (Matt 16:19) - When I think of the fact that prayer is a great
mystery and one that our Great G-d has give to us to participate in, I see it as a "crowning
upon all His saints." One whom all should desire to do and be better at, I know
I do! The death, burial, and resurrection of Messiah Yeshua is G-d's Crowning Accomplishment,
and the only Good News to all of mankind. There is nothing that is better or more life changing then to
hear the Good News of Messiah Yeshua, and Believe it in your heart. We see the fullness of the Kaf in the verses
below.
(Eph 6:18-19) Praying constantly with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
steadfastly with all perseverance and covering prayer for all saints; And for me, that
utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the
Good News
"Father, I pray, make us desire to be better at covering our brothers and sister
in Messiah. Teach us to cover with pray, and not to undercover there sins before the World, and Your Church. You
know perfectly well our sins, and if you do use a saint to go to his brother or sister who is walking contrary
to Your Word, give us the grace to do it with covering love. Let no condemnation come from us Holy Father, just
steadfastly love. Amen."
Now the Lamed is the tallest of all Hebrew
letters, just as the Yod is the smallest letter. The symbol is that of Teaching, and Purpose.
It is said that the Lamed depicts the manifested "King of Kings - the Supreme Ruler of the Universe,"
because of its majestic size. In the Lamed verse of Scripture we can see Rabbi Saul (Paul), teaching
what was G-d's purpose which had been kept hid from the beginning of the generations
but now revealed to His saints. In Hebrew, the word "Generations" is the word
"Toldot." Now when you first see this word in the Scriptures,
its in Genesis 2:4. Toldot is spelled Tav
Vav Lamed Dalet Vav Tav, you will not fine this spelling again until you get to Ruth 4:18,
why is the question? I believe as does the Rabbis, it is because after the fall of mankind G-d removed one
of the letters from the word. That letter was a Vav - the sixth letter which stands for Man,
Messiah, and Nail, that which unites. However, G-d did not remove the Lamed, because G-d is always "teaching mankind." Mankind has the need to learn of G-d from toldot to toldot - generation
to generation! See how this one fits into place in this verse.
(Col 1:25-26) Whereof I am made a teacher, according to the administration of G-d which
is given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of G-d; Even the mystery which has been kept secret
from beginning (genesis) and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
The Mem is the symbol of the
Revealed as well as the Concealed. It stands for a Fountain of Wisdom, and it also stands for Messiah.
It is also a Water symbol which reveals G-ds omnipresent in the Heavens and the earth.
It is a picture of the Holy Spirit, which is a Fountain Pouring Forth. This letter is
also a very easy one to see in these next verses.
(Col 1:27-28) To whom G-d would to make known (reveal) and declare what is the riches
of the Glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Messiah in
you, the HOPE of Glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all spiritual wisdom;
that we may present the whole of mankind complete in Messiah Yeshua:
In Hebrew, HOPE, first appears in Ruth 1:12, and is the word Tiqvah - Strong's # 8615. It means: a cord (as an attachment) fig. expectancy - expectation [-ted],
hope, live, thing that I long for. Only the Holy Spirit can give this
Line of HOPE to mankind. By the way, Joshua 2:18 uses the word Line, instead of Hope, but it's the same word - Tiqvah
# 8615.
The Nun is the symbol of the Faithfulness,
Nourishment - Heir to the Throne; Messiah, Soul, and Emergence. It
is a picture of a Fish, meaning, moving, active and living.
We know that Messiah is the Heir to the Throne of Glory because He is Alive! What we see here in this next Scripture, is the mystery of the Nun or Fish. Moving and active,
and ongoing, and issuing out of His Faithfulness alone. We are being knitted
or braided into One, in the Messiah, who Himself is Pure Love. We are being nourished
by love, understanding, and discernment by virtue of all of His riches in Glory.
(Col 2:2-3) That their hearts might be nourished, being braid together in Love (a name
for Messiah). Thoroughly adorned with the full confidence of understanding, and discernment of the mystery of G-d,
and of the Father, and of Messiah; In whom are hid all the treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge.
The Samech is the letter of Support,
Memory, and Protection. In the ancient picture language it is a Prop, meaning:
to support, to turn. What we have in the two verse below is just that, a cry from Rabbi
Saul (Paul), asking the Believers in Colosse to turn to prayer. Saul is also asking them
for prayer support so that G-d would open a door for the publishing of the
mystery of Messiah to be proclaimed even in his chains. These verses can very clearly be seen as a Samech
verses making the pattern so far very evident.
(Col 4:2-3) Dedicate yourselves (be constantly mindful) to prayer, being watchful and
thankful. And pray for us also, that
G-d may open up a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Messiah,
for which I am in shackles.
The Hebrew letter Ayin is the letter
for Sight, and Insight. It is a picture
of an Eye. Here in II Thessalonians we see Rabbi Saul (Paul) bring light
(insight) and understand to the Believers who are growing in Faith. He reminds
them of what he spoke about in his first letter. This letter is an easy one to see also.
(2 Th. 2:1-8) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our L-rd Yeshua Messiah, and by our gathering together
unto Him, That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as
from us, as that the day of Messiah is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposes and
exalts himself above all that is called G-d, or that is worshipped; so that he as G-d sitteth in the temple of
G-d, showing himself that he is G-d. Do you not remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?
And now you know what is holding him back, that he might be revealed
in his time. For the mystery of iniquity is
already at work: and it will remain until the one who is holding it back, steps
out of the way. And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the L-rd shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth,
and shall destroy with the Brightness of His coming:
The word Hebrew word Zohar, Brightness - Strong's #2096 is the word
I'm sure that the Rabbi Saul had in mind when writing this to the Thessalonians. This is a Remez
(hinting at) of Ezkiel 8:2: "Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance
of fire: from the appearance of His loins even downward, fire; and from His loins even upward, as the appearance
of brightness, as the colour of chashmal,
(maybe amber)." What I find interesting is that in modern Hebrew, Jesus is spelled Yod Shin Vav. Jewish
Believers on the other hand spell Jesus, i.e. Yeshua's Name, Yod Shin Vav Ayin. When I saw this, the Spirit of the L-rd spoke to my spirit, "The Ayin is missing." You see the letter of insight, the Ayin, that shines out the Brightness that Yeshua is Messiah, is hid
from the unbelieving mind. G-d will one day very soon do away with the mystery of iniquity, so pray for insight to be given to my Jewish People.
The Hebrew letter Pey stands for the
Mouth, and Speech. The Hebrew word
mouth is spelled, Pey Ayin, it means: to speak, to open. In the
verses below we can see clearly the mouth being addressed. In Romans 9:1 we read that
what we speak can affect our conscience. The mouth and conscience
are linked by the Pey. It can be seen in I Peter 3:16: "Having a good conscience; that, whereas they
speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Messiah."
One must use the mouth to do this, that is why Rabbi Saul (Paul) is telling Timothy to fine Deacons who are not double-tongued. This is also a verse that fits the pattern nicely.
(1 Tim 3:8-9) Likewise must the deacons be honorable, not double-tongued, not given to
much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; holding the mystery of "The Faith" in a pure
conscience.
Tsade is a symbol of Righteousness
and Humility. It also stands for the Light
of the World, and Suffering, all
which are part of what Messiah is. It is a picture of a Fish-hook,
and it's meaning: Harvest and Need.
Rabbi Saul is painting a picture of Righteousness in the verse below, this makes the pattern
brighter yet. Yeshua is the Tsade - the Righteous!
(1 Tim 3:16) Without question, this is the great mystery of godliness; Messiah appeared in the flesh and was shown to be Righteous by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and was
announced to the Gentiles. He was believed on in the world and was taken up into Heaven.
Now the Kaf stands for the symbol of
Holiness, G-d's Omnipresence, Redemption of the fallen sparks, and
Cycles. It stand for the seven -year cycle, the
Shemittah (the Sabbatical Year). In Aramaic I am told, the word Kaf,
means: eye of the needle. That brought to mind Psalm 33:18: "Behold, the eye of the
L-RD is upon them that fear Him, upon them that Hope in His Mercy;" I pray that is all of us! It is said,
"In times of tribulation afflicting the entire community, special hakafos were arranged
as part of the prayers to the Divine Ruler for mercy and for nullification of the decree." (R’ Baazi MiDanburna)
"Hakafos have the power to tear down all the barriers between us and our Father in
Heaven." (Chida, Tziporen Shamir) Hakafos means: Encirclings. The
cycles or encircling of holiness will climax in the Jubilee Year. (Adah Guzman)
The cycles or encircling of the L-RD are mystical indeed! In Jere 31:22-25, we read: "How
long will you go about, O you backsliding daughter? for the L-RD has created a new thing in the earth, A woman
shall encircle a man. Thus saith the L-RD of hosts, the G-d of Israel; As yet they shall
use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The L-RD
bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness (har kodesh - a Hebrew idiom for
House of the L-RD, the Temple in Jerusalem). And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and
they that go forth with flocks. For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished
every sorrowful soul." This would be the year of Jubilee!
Now in Revelation, chapter 1, John tells us that the L-rd is the First and the Last and the Alpha Omega, or in Hebrew, Aleph Tav, the Holy One who hold all things, like cycles
in His hands. (Ecclesiastics 3:1-10) Look at all the seven's in this
passage, this one maybe a little harder for you to see, but the pattern hold true to the AlephBet. The Omnipresence of the L-rd, can be see in these
verses I believe.
(Rev 1:17-20) And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon
me, saying to me, Fear not; I am the First and the Last: I
am He that lived, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen, and have the keys of hell and of death.
Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars
which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks.
The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which you
saw are the seven churches.
Remember, the right hand is a Hebrew idiom for, "the place of power and blessing."
The symbol of the Resh is a symbol of
choosing between "Greatness and Degradation."
It is a picture of a Head, a person, and means: the Highest, and Process. The Talmud tells use it represents a
wicked person, and is a picture of Israel's archenemy, Amalek.
However, there is an ancient Midrash that speaks of a different essence on the subject
of the Resh. "According to Osios R’ Akiva, he identifies the Resh with the HEAD, the Holy One, Blessed be He." We can clearly see the two sides of this Hebrew letter
in the verse below. It tells us that at the time this Scriptures is fulfill, that which the Prophets have spoken,
will be finished. That means just what it says it means, "it is finished!"
(Rev 10:7) But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the
mystery of G-d should be finished, as the Holy One, Blessed be He has declared
to His servants the Prophets.
The Shin is the symbol of Divine
Power, El Shaddi, the All Sufficient One, The Eternal Flame, and also Devour.
The Hebrew letter Shin has Three Heads, and is the letter used on the doorpost of most Jewish homes in the mezuza
scroll. The Jewish men also wear tefilin as they pray, and on the right side of the tefilin is the Shin. This is
placed on their forehead. This Shin is there as a sign, as they offer up prayers to G-d everyday all over the world.
In the pre-Babylonian Hebrew, the Shin is a picture of Teeth,
meaning: to devour, to consume, to destroy. John 10:10, tells us: "The thief cometh
not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have Life, and that they might have
it more abundantly." However, it is the L-RD our G-d who is a consuming fire, and fire in the end will devour all wickedness. Yes, the One with three Heads will in the end devour, consume, and destroy
MYSTERY, BABYLON who raises her ugly head one more time in the end of days. The pattern hold true in the following
Scriptures.
(Rev 17:5-6) And upon her forehead (the place were the Shin is placed by Jewish people) was
a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the
woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Yeshua:
and when I saw her, I marveled (was astounded) with great wonder.
The symbol of the Tav stand for Truth, Covenant Sign, Seal of Creation, Impression, and Perfection. In
the ancient Hebrew, the Tav is a picture of a Cross and it means: Covenant
- Seal. There are two opinion as to the form of
the letter Tav. One opinion tells us it is made up of the two Hebrew letters, Dalet and a Nun. That by the way, spells the Hebrew
word Fish, the symbol most first Century Believers used for Yeshua - Jesus. The second
opinion is that it is made up of the Hebrew letters Resh and
Vav. Now the Resh Vav is not a Biblical Hebrew
word, but a Chaldee word found in the book of Daniel 2:31; 3:25, meaning "the form."
BABYLON is were Daniel wrote from, and his book is written in part Hebrew, and part Chaldee. Let us look
at the Scripture in Daniel 3:25 writing in Chaldee and see this word:
|
So both opinions still point to YESHUA!
Now in the Scripture verse below, we see the angel telling the truth about mystery of the woman - MYSTERY BABYLON and the beast that carries her. Truth is going to be revealed, and truth is rings out clear as a bell as the angel sent from G-d, reveals to us in the verses following verse 7. The impression of the Tav is clear.
According to Dr. Robert M. Haralick in his wonderful book: "The Inner Meaning
of the Hebrew Letters" - on the Tav, page 309, and I quote: "In Theology, a sign means that which
can be externally recognized and which represents or signifies something internal. A sign, in other words, is a
distinctive and uniquely recognizable covering that signifies an internal
essence."
I give you the CROSS as such a sign, the Sign of the New Covenant. The Tav, the Perfection of the Covenant is clearly a person, Messiah Yeshua, "Truth"
personify! The pattern of the AlephBet still holds with the angel giving us G-d's TRUTH!
(Rev 17:7) And the angel said to me, Wherefore did you wonder? I will
tell you, the mystery of the woman
and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.
So ends the first 22 letters of the AlephBet, now on to the final letters.
Final Letters
The final Kaf looks nothing
like it counter part, and bent over letter .
This letter is in a rising position, and is often taken in the final form for a Dalet by many who do not know Hebrew. It is taught that this letter stand for the
rising of the righteous (saints), who with Divine assistance are lifted to there place of Crowning
Accomplishment. Psalm 3:3 tells us: "But thou, O L-RD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head." The word ruwm (lifter),
Strong's # 7311 - is a prim. root, and occurs 193 times in the Word of G-d. However it is used only once as the word lifter meaning: "to rise or raise,
to bring up, to exalt, to go up, to mount up."
(Mat 13:11) Yeshua answered and said to His disciples, Because it is given to you to know,
the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but to them (the unbelieving) it is not given.
The unbelieving will not be lifted, they will not wear a crown,
they are not given the understanding from the L-rd. The question is why not? I think the answer can be found in
Matthew 13:11, follow me please. Matthew means: Gift of G-d, and the thirteenth letter
of the Hebrew AlephBet is a Mem. The eleventh letter is a Kaf, and a Men Kaf spells
the Hebrew word "Mind." It could be rendered Heart
and also Spirit. So a Gift of G-d is a mind,
heart, and spirit to KNOW the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven.
But to the unbeliever, no mind, heart or spirit is given. Such a gift or the knowledge of it, is withheld
THEM (the unbelieving) because of there unbelief.
The pattern is still bright!
The final Mem is Closed,
were as the regular Mem is open at the bottom .
What does this tell us in the Scripture below? Let's look at it.
(Luke 8:10) And Yeshua said, to you (the disciples) it is given to know
the mysteries of the kingdom of G-d: but to others in
parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not
understand ( or have the knowledge).
What this means is very clear! To the unbelieving, the kingdom of G-d or Heaven is closed!
No LIFE given. By the way, Luke name means: "Light giving"
- eight is a Chet, and ten is a Yod. Chet Yod spells the Hebrew word for LIFE. So a word picture of Luke 8:10, could read this way: "A Light giving LIFE." Messiah Yeshua is such a LIFE
giving Light, need I say more, I think not!
The Nun in its final form is a picture of the uprightness of G-d, His Faithfulness. However,
it also speaks of the faithfulness of the Believers, i.e. the Saints who are stewards
of the mysteries of G-d.
(1 Cor 4:1-2) Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Messiah, and stewards of the mysteries of G-d.
Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove
faithful.
This one also fits the pattern like a glove!
The final Peh denotes, an open
mouth wide or speech given from on high - that which is elevated
to the Heavens. Prophecy is speaking by the Holy Spirit, this would be speech given from on HIGH.
This is ELEVATED speech. Elevated speech is always laced with charity - love.
(1 Cor 13:2) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand
all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and
have not charity (love), I am nothing.
The final Peh fits perfectly here, and so the brightness of the pattern grows brighter still.
The final Tzaddi is a picture
of righteous man standing tall before G-d. When one prayers in an unknown tongue, he is speaking to G-d, and he is speaking righteous mysteries. To think that Yeshua Messiah
made us righteous so that we might stand boldly before the Throne of G-d, makes me weep with great joy. I praise
G-d for my prayer language. This is the final word, the 27th letter of the Hebrew AlephBet
mysteries, and it fits perfectly as does all the others.
(1 Cor 14:2) For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not to men, but
to G-d: for no man understands him; however in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.
Let me end with one more Word picture. The word Corinth means: to fill
full; to satisfy. The fourteenth letter of the Hebrew AlephBet is a Nun, and the
second letter in Hebrew is a Bet. Nun Bet spells the Hebrew
word, sprinkle. So a word picture of this is: "To fill full
and satisfy, to sprinkle." Isaiah 52:15 tells us this: "So shall He sprinkle
many Nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at Him: for that which had not been told them
shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider."
My Conclusion
In Isaiah 52:15, we see the culmination of Messiah Yeshua, the Aleph Tav, the Hebrew AlephBet.
After doing this study on my own, I am in full agreement with Gary Stearman and J.R.
Church, and what they found in there research this
subject. I fully believe that even the Greek text can give us "Hebrew Word Pictures." The only
New Covenant Scriptures we have today are written in Greek. However, the ideas and intents of all the writers of
the New Covenant Scriptures, are truly Hebrew in mind! Many will say this is subjective stuff, but I say if you
have eyes to see, you will see Messiah Yeshua in everything in Scripture. After all "He" is the Scroll
of the Book!
I take my hat off to Gary Stearman and J.R. Church for there desire to study like the Jewish Sages of old. It is yielding
volume's for the Body of Messiah today. Bravo to both of you and "Prophecy In The News" for giving us
such wonderful insight's in G-d's Holy Word!
