Dear Jewish Friend,

Happy Hanukkah to you, I'm praying this year's
Festival of Lights will bring you as much joy as it does me, I just love these next 8 days. I am mailing your card out today with a little audio file in it. All I ask of you is to play it and listen prayerful to so I can bless you. Please take no offense at it because I meant none in sending it to you, I am only doing this by God's leading this year for my Jewish friends scattered around the world.

Here is the one I picked for you, its called, Go in Peace. These audio book cards can be found at the Ministry home of Charles and Paula Slagle, Jewish Believers in Yeshua (Jesus), where you can hear more of them if you like...

A Jew Is A Jew No Matter What!
Those of you who know me, know I believe that once a Jew always a Jew, and I would never ask you to be anything other then what you are, Jewish. However, I am asking you to prayerful read this letter and the links that come with it, because they are full of truth and light, and I'm praying you will see that as you read it.

I'm not sure if you saw the movie "The Passion of the Christ" this year as I did, but if you did, I want you to remember this man hanging on the cross is the same man the Jewish prophet Isaiah wrote about hundreds of years before He was born. The Hebrew Scriptures talking about Him being our sin offering really starts in Isaiah chapter 52 verse 13, and goes through to Isaiah 53 verse 12. These Hebrew Scriptures are never hear read in the Synagogue for fear Jewish people would ask too many questions about who this person is.

Isaiah 52:
13 Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted.
14 Just as many were astonished at you, My people, so His appearance was marred more than any man and His form more than the sons of men.
15 Thus He will sprinkle many nations, kings will shut their mouths on account of Him; for what had not been told them they will see, and what they had not heard they will understand.
Isaiah 53:
1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
3 He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.
6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people (Israel), to whom the stroke was due?
9 His grave was assigned with wicked men, yet He was with a rich man in His death, because He had done no violence, nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
10 But it was the LORD' good plan to crush Him and fill Him with grief. Yet when His life is made an offering for sin, He will have a multitude of children, many heirs. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD' plan will prosper in His hands.
11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; by His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, as He will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the booty with the strong; because He poured out Himself to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He Himself bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors.

Today the rabbis will tell you this is speaking about Israel, but it can't be my friend because Israel was never without sin. Just read the Torah (the first five book of the Hebrew Scripture) and you'll see that fact is as plain as the nose on your face. No, this person is without sin so It can't be Israel! But what did the ancient rabbi say about Isaiah 53? Check it out for yourself at: What do the rabbis say about Isaiah 53? on our web site.

And what about the prophet Micah (5:2) telling us this person would be born in Bethlehem Ephratah, "...though you be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from Everlasting (from the beginning of the world)." The Light of the world would be born humbly in Bethlehem Ephratah in Israel some 2000 years ago. My friend, Yeshua is that Light, the Light of the World and the Light of my life.

Hear Me - Shema!
I do not believe that a Jewish person who believes in Yeshua is less Jewish, nor have they converted to "Christianity" as some think they do. If believing in Yeshua the Messianic Savior makes you anything, it you a new creation in Him, and a convert to God, but not to some religion system made by man. It is foolishness to think your no long Jewish, and no, the Scriptures do not teach that at all. Rabbi Sha'ul (Paul) was a Jewish Pharisee (Acts 26:4-9, 13-18) and he tells us that, here read it for yourselves... "So then, all Jews know my manner of life from my youth upward, which from the beginning was spent among my own nation and at Jerusalem; since they have known about me for a long time, if they are willing to testify, that I live as a Pharisee according to the strictest sect of our religion. And now I am standing trial for the 'hope of the Promise' made by God to our fathers (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob); the promise to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly serve God night and day. And for this hope, O King, I am being accused by Jews. Why is it considered incredible among you people if God does raise the dead? So then, I thought to myself that I had to do many things hostile to the name of Yeshua of Nazaret (meaning of Nazaret is 'the Branch' hinting at Isaiah 11:1-2)... Then at midday, O King, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining all around me and those who were journeying with me. And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew dialect, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' And I said, 'Who are You, Lord?' And the Lord said, 'I am Yeshua whom you are persecuting. 'But get up and stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you a minister and a witness not only to the things which you have seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you; rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you, to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.'"

He remained a Jew doing Jewish things all the days of his life. "Christianity is Jewish, and no one will tell me its not!" Rabbi Paul had a real live relationship with the Living God and His Son Yeshua, the one who's name means "He Saves" and that is what God did for him, and wants to do for you. All that a Jewish person need do is make "Teshuva"- repent and turn back to God and take to themselves the atonement God provided for them, just like father Abraham did in Genesis chapter 22:8. When father Abraham said, "...My son (speaking to Isaac), 'God will provide Himself a lamb' for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together up the hill."

But it was not a lamb that day that father Abraham offered up to God instead of his only son Isaac, no is was a ram that was caught in the thicket that God provided for him to slay. But Abraham knew that one day, yes, one day God would "provide Himself a lamb," and His Son Yeshua was that offering for sin for anyone who would receive Him as such, to the Jew first, and then the Gentiles.

This is good news to all people!

Let me pose the questions of Proverbs chapter 30:4 to you my friend and asks you these thought provoking questions:

1) Can you tell me: "Who has ascended into heaven and descended?"
2) "Who has gathered the wind in His fists?"
3) "Who has wrapped the waters in His garment?"
4) "Who has established all the ends of the earth?"
5) "What is His name or His son's name? Surely you know!"

I'll bet you could answer the first four and half questions for me because they are as clear as a bell, its "God" who does all this and the LORD (YHVH) is His name. God established all the ends of the earth. It is He who ascended into heaven and descended again. Only God has gathered the wind in His fists, and no other can do this. And it is God who has wrapped the waters in His garment; yes, God has done all these things and much greater then these... But what of His Son's name, it says
"Surely you know!"

This question has always been the question no one who is Jewish wants to answer for me, and many have never even seen this question in the Scriptures and I understand why; because they do not read God's Word, they let their rabbis do it for them. If you answer this one right, you have to come to believe in Yeshua as the Son of God according to all that the Messianic Prophecies say about Him. Check them out on our web site: Messianic Prophecies About Yeshua.

Please my friend do not be mad at me for sending this out to you now at Hanukkah, but believe me that I'm just following God's direction. This was sent out to ALL my Jewish friends who have not yet told me they have received Yeshua into their hearts. And if you have received Yeshua as Lord, I'd love to hear from you telling me how and when it happened for you. That way I can Praise the Lord God with you!

I just pray I am offending you, but if I am, I'll say it now, "I'm sorry" - that was not my intent at all. My intention was to bless you with something you might never have considered being Jewish. And I really believe the reason I'm sending this out to you now at this time is because God wants you to know just how much He LOVES you. You are very special to Him and to His Son Yeshua. He crazy about you, really He is... I know this may sound like tripe to you, but I love you too because YOU are made in the image of God. I pray God's best for all the people around the globe, but especially for the Jew.

Many of my Jewish friends have understood me, they knew my heart was pure when I wrote this and they believed what I've said because their spirits bore witness to them that I was telling them the truth. I pray you will also have that same inward witness as you read this and listen once again to Go in Peace. I've said what God wanted me to say to you today, and I'll pray you will not write me off of your list of friends. You are my friend, and I love you no matter what you do with what I have sent you. So let me say again...I love you.

Shalom your friend,

Barbara
