The Question?
"Did G-d Give Moses Two Covenants or One?"

Part 4

My Conclusion

It is going to be hard to bring an end to this article because the revelation of G-d has no ending. Even as I was writing this, I believe there will be more revisions to this article in the future. When G-d adds more to my understanding, I will add more to this article. For now, I will try and conclude with my conclusion. I will line up things as I see it.

Let me first start by saying the writings of the four Gospels and the other letters are not the "New Covenant." Most of Christianity make a serious error in thinking that the 27 books in the back of the Bible they carry is the New Covenant, there not! These G-d inspired writings speak of the New Covenant that Yeshua made in His blood, but the writings themselves are not the New Covenant! I needed to state this because by not identifying what the New Covenant is can be a real pitfall for many Christians. I know many who call themselves Christians who will not even carry the Hebrew Scriptures (erroneously called the Old Testament), because they believe they are not for today. Satan keeps them in ignorance, separated and estranged from the very G-d and L-RD of the New Covenant that way. Most believe the New Covenant is only contained in the book of Jeremiah 31:31-34, and then reiterated in the letter to the Hebrews 10:16-17 in the New Covenant Scriptures. However, most overlook the "hidden things" painted for us in plain sight.

D
euteronomy 29:29 informs us that: "The secret (hidden - concealed) things belong to the L-RD our G-d: but those things which are revealed (discovered - published) belong to us and to our children forever (for eternity), that we may observe (do) all the words of this TORAH (G-d’s teaching, guidance, and instruction.)" -- AGI

(In a Hebrew Bible this verse is Deuteronomy 29:28).

Moses speaks out just as plain as plain can be here, but what is this verse really implying? I'm one of those people who when I read something placed in the Word of G-d that just does not seem to fit, I take it apart letter by letter to see what G-d will reveal to me.

My questions for G-d are:

1) "What secret or hidden things that belonged to You L-RD are You talking about here?"

2) "What where the things revealed that now belong to the children of Israel, and will belong to them forever L-RD?"

3) "L-RD what is Moses really speaking about, and why is it here in this spot in Your text?"

I guest to truly know the depth of what this verse really means, we will just have to wait to hear it from Moses and our L-RD. Nevertheless, I'd like to venture into a few hidden things I believe G-d revealed to my spirit while studying Deuteronomy chapters 29 and 30.

First off, Jeremiah prophesying the Word of the L-RD states:

"Behold days are coming, declares the L-RD, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the Covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, declares the L-RD. But this is the Covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the L-RD, I will put My Torah within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their G-d, and they shall be My people." Jeremiah 31:31-33

Yet in Deuteronomy 30:6 Moses speaking states:

"Moreover the L-RD your G-d will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the L-RD your G-d with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may LIVE."

Clearly, one hidden thing that I see is that the "New Covenant" that Jeremiah proclaims to Israel, that one day will take place, is hidden in plain sight in the fifth book of Torah. Five is the number of grace and revealing by the Holy Spirit.

It is the L-RD who does the work of circumcision of heart, He puts the Torah of G-d on and in our hearts. Yes beloved, it is indeed the very work Messiah Yeshua (He shall save) came to do for you and I. First for Israel, the apple of His eye, then for all who would Believe on Him from the Nations (Gentiles)!

In John 7:19, 21-24, it tells us Yeshua said:
..."Did not Moses give you the Torah (Law), and yet none of you carries out the Torah (Law)? Why do you seek to kill Me?...I did one deed (work), and you all are wondering. Therefore Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but that it is of Fathers - Avraham, Isaac, and Jacob), and on a Sabbath you circumcise a man. If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the Torah (Law) will not be annulled, are you angry with Me because I made an entire man well on a Sabbath? Do not JUDGE according to appearance, but JUDGE with righteous judgment." AGI

When was the Covenant of circumcision given to Moses for all the children of Israel?
It was in "the seed of the Father" (Moab) that it was added back into the Torah. It was for all the people who would be going into the Land of Promise. For 40 years not one male child born in Israel in the wilderness had been circumcised, not a one! Why was this? It was because the Covenant of circumcision was not going to be part of the Covenant made in Mt. Sinai because G-d knew His Covenant would be broken. Oh it was theirs all right, but it was not carried out till 40 years after the Israelites and the sojourns where taken out of Egypt. Hear the Word of the L-RD.

Genesis 17:11 And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the Covenant between Me and you.

Exodus 12:48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to the L-RD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the Land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat of the Passover without being circumcised. AGI

Leviticus 12:3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

Circumcision was commanded by G-d through Moses, yet not performed for forty years until they went into the Land of Promise.

Lets read Joshua 5: 3-8:

So Joshua made himself flint knives and circumcised the sons of Israel at Gibeath-haaraloth. This is the reason why Joshua circumcised them: all the people who came out of Egypt who were males, all the men of war, died in the wilderness along the way after they came out of Egypt. For all the people who came out were circumcised, but all the people who were born in the wilderness along the way as they came out of Egypt had not been circumcised. For the sons of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, that is, the men of war who came out of Egypt, perished because they did not listen to the voice of the L-RD, to whom the L-RD had sworn that He would not let them see the Land which the L-RD had sworn to their fathers (Avraham, Isaac, and Jacob) to give us, a Land flowing with milk and honey. Their children whom He raised up in their place, Joshua circumcised; for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them along the way. Now when he (Joshua) had finished circumcising all the nation, they remained in their places in the camp until they were healed.

This was a
"National Circumcision" for Israel and it was by the hand of Joshua. Some believe the reason they had not circumcised their sons in the wilderness was because it was unhealthy, but this can't be true. G-d is the L-RD that healed them of everything, Exodus 15:26. Surely He commanded circumcision to be done according to the Covenant He cut with Avraham. There must be another reason. It may be it was because the Covenant made with Moses at Mt. Sinai was broken by the Israelites. Jeremiah 31:32 tells us it was: "Not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them, declares the LORD."

Our purpose is not to point out Israel's sins here, but her CURE!

The second thing I see hidden in plain sight is in Deuteronomy chapter 30:1-5. Here G-d is prophesying through the man Moses things that will not happen till much later in the life of the Nation of Israel. G-d is telling the Israelites their future even before they cross over the Yarden (Jordan). Moses is giving them the bad news of what will surely happen to the Israelites as a Nation, and it is really very sad history in retrospect. Yet in the thick of G-d prophesying through Moses mouth, Moses goes on with some awesome words. Please hear again the Word of the L-RD:

1 "And it shall come to pass, when ALL these things are come upon you Israel, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among ALL the Nations, where the L-RD your G-d has driven you,
2
And shall 'return' to the L-RD your G-d, and shall OBEY His voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul;
3
Then the L-RD your G-d will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will 'return' and gather you Israel from ALL the Nations, where the L-RD your G-d has scattered you.
4
If any of you are driven out into the outer most parts of HEAVEN, from there will the L-RD your G-d gather you, and from there will He seize you:
5
And the L-RD your G-d will bring you Israel into the Land which your Fathers (Avraham, Isaac, and Jacob) possessed, and you Israel shall possess it; and He will do all of you good, and multiply you Israel above your Fathers (Avraham, Isaac, and Jacob)."

If you count the verses of Scripture in a Hebrew Bible starting from Genesis 1:1, going on into Deuteronomy 30:5, you would count 5708 verses. So you say so what, who really cares about that! Well beloved, 5708 just happens to be the number of the Hebrew year 1948 on a Jewish calendar. This is the very year that Israel became a Nation in a day. This was the very year G-d opened WIDE the DOORS for His scattered people to come out from ALL the Nations where He had scattered them! The Nations that Moses was prophesying about in Deuteronomy 30. Hidden in this prophesy in the Word of G-d is the very year G-d would bring home His Jewish people to the Land of Promise. How awesome is our G-D!!! Totally AWESOME I say!!!

So then Deuteronomy 30:6 is now the next verse, and it is the KEY.

Hidden only to those who WILL NOT SEE that G-d's Torah (His teaching, guidance, and instruction), which contains all things is the New (really renewed) Covenant. Just because the words "New Covenant" are not stated in the Hebrew text of Deuteronomy 30:6, like it is in the book of Jeremiah, does not mean it is not there by the Spirit. The words "Bible" and "Triunity" (erroneously called the Trinity) are not written in the Word of G-d either, but they are "implied" over and over again in Scripture. Let us ask some basic but important questions:

1.) What is a Covenant?

A Covenant is an agreement or pact between two or more parties. A Covenant between G-d and man centers around G-d's gracious undertaking for the benefit and blessing of man.

For our example, lets look at G-d in His Covenant with Avraham. G-d promised to make Avraham the father of a great Nation from which would come ONE who would bless ALL Nations (Genesis 12:1-3; 22:15-18). G-d has kept His
Promise making Avraham the father of the Nation Israel (Deuteronomy 26:5) from which came the Seed (Messiah Yeshua), the Savior of the Nations, really of the world (John 3:16; Galatians 3:8,14,16).

2.) What really is the New Covenant?

The New Covenant is G-d writing His Torah (G-d's teaching, guidance and instruction) on the heart of man. He did it by the blood and the finished work of pure Seed, Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel on the Cross.

G-d did ALL the work again, just like He did with father Avraham. It is given FREELY to ALL who
Believe (or have the faith of Avraham) for it! Messiah's blood does not cover up our sins as in the older Covenant did. No not at all, it takes our sin away never to be seen by G-d again. This is the New Covenant, and it is good news for Israel and ALL of mankind who accept it by FAITH alone.

My Conclusion
Therefore the New Covenant FULFILLS the Promise that the L-RD made to father Avraham.
The "Seed" (Messiah Yeshua, Gal.3:16) would bless ALL the families of the earth, Jews and Gentiles alike. We know the Holy Spirit promised by Yeshua to Israel was indeed poured out on Shavuot, Acts 2. Then the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Gentiles at Cornelius' house in about the year 40-41 AD/CE (Acts 10:44-45). This is the Promise of the Father, and part of the New Covenant. The New Covenant was also cut and ratified with an offering of blood, just like the Covenant the L-RD made with Avraham. Not the blood of bulls, goats or birds, but with the pure blood of one sinless the Lamb, Messiah Yeshua. It was the blood G-d used to validate the Covenant to Avraham, and it was Avraham's faith speaking when Avraham said to his son, "G-d will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." Genesis 22:8a

Two Major Parts To My Conclusion:
The Covenant made in Moab has two major parts to it. The first is the legal aspects to which are immediate and also conditional (Deut. 27 -29).

The
second part was a future promise, and it is unconditional (Deut. 30:1-9). Now verse 6 has become pivotal to us, for it is this verse that tells us "circumcision will be done by the hand of L-RD." This is an unconditional New Covenant Promise!

"Furthermore (when you Israel are back in the Land) the L-RD your G-d will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, to love the L-RD your G-d with all your hearts and with all your souls, so that you may have Life." AGI

I love the Torah of G-d, yet I keep in mind Moses is dead, and that Yeshua Messiah was struck ONCE, and it was for ALL who would Believe that He is the Promise Seed, the Oath of G-d. Therefore the Torah, which G-d gave to Moses, leads us to the Living Torah, the ONE Avraham, Isaac, and Jacob new by "trusting faith." That One is none other then Yeshua, Emmanuel - G-d with us! Our L-rd Yeshua is the grand theme of both the Older and Newer Covenants in Scripture. He unifies ALL of the Bible (Eph. 1:9-10). The New Covenant is the unconditional Promised Covenant the L-RD made in the seed of the father Moab, and fulfilled by Yeshua the Messiah when the fulness of the time had come.

"Therefore G-d did send forth His Son, made of a woman, born under the Torah of G-d. The unconditional Promise born in the fullness of time, to bring healing and wholeness once and for all to those who would receive Him as L-rd and G-d!" -- AGI

Bless and Praise His Holy Name, it is Finished!!!

Election is G-d's choosing us in Messiah Yeshua before the world was made.

Redemption
is G-d purchasing His own elect out of the hands of His own Torah, that being all curses in it by the pure blood of Messiah.

Forgiveness
is G-d pardoning ALL of our sins through the pure blood of Messiah.

Justification
is G-d clothing us with His pureness and imputing to us the Righteousness of Messiah Yeshua.

Regeneration
is G-d giving dead sinners new Life in the Messiah. Yeshua coming to live in us, along with the Holy Spirit of G-d.

Sanctification is G-d forming Messiah in us, imparting his Righteousness to us, and as the seasons change in our lives making us grow in His grace.

Resurrection is G-d raising us up by the power in Messiah, and by the power of His Holy Spirit one day.

Glorification is G-d conforming us to the image of Messiah, to which end we were predestinated in the eternal purpose of His Grace from the very beginning.

Praise and Glory to His Name!
